Commercial Insurance Account Executive
POSITION SUMMARY
This role is essential for delivering timely, precise, and courteous service to clients, agents, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Enhance and cultivate expertise in insurance to the highest standard.
- Offer, with a positive demeanor, superior support in acquiring, maintaining, expanding, and servicing commercial accounts.
- Manage assigned Commercial Lines accounts and assist in collections.
- Oversee all renewals for accounts remaining with current carriers.
- Evaluate quotes from our Marketing Department against renewal quotes to determine the most advantageous option, collaborating closely with Producers and Marketing Representatives.
- Facilitate Renewal Analysis and any additional information required for Producers' meetings with clients, scheduling these appointments according to agency protocols.
- Collect premiums following established agency guidelines.
- Engage directly with carriers/brokers to provide necessary information regarding renewals and policy modifications.
- Prepare submissions for renewal business quotes and draft insurance proposals, including client visits with Producers when requested.
- Process endorsement requests for Commercial Lines clients.
- Handle cancellations and reinstatements as needed.
- Prepare and process certificates of insurance promptly, typically within 24 hours of request.
- Review all applications, policies, endorsements, and audits for precision.
- Invoice all premium-related transactions.
- Alert Producers of any outstanding balances on accounts and initiate appropriate actions as per agency collection procedures.
- Prepare Auto ID cards, evidence of property, certificates, binders, and endorsements.
- Email policies and related documents to clients as necessary.
- Maintain suspense items in a timely manner.
- Participate in training sessions and seminars for skill enhancement, staying updated on carrier forms and coverage changes.
- Document all client interactions in the agency automation system.
- Service commercial lines accounts to eliminate coverage gaps, thereby minimizing E&O exposures.
- Prioritize tasks and seek assistance as needed.
- Support other agency departments in gathering and providing information essential for issuing appropriate policies for mutual clients.
- Assist the Claims Department in supplying coverage information when required.
- Keep Producers informed of all significant activities related to their accounts.
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by Producers or department managers.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a college degree is preferred. Proficiency in Applied/Epic management systems or similar, along with other computer systems and operations, is essential. Strong listening skills, the ability to prioritize tasks, attention to detail, and a collaborative attitude are crucial. Comprehensive knowledge of commercial insurance lines and products is necessary to effectively discuss coverages with clients and insurance carriers. A P & C License is mandatory, and a professional designation is advantageous. A minimum of 3 years of experience managing a substantial book of business across various account sizes in a fast-paced environment is required.
