KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Below is a summary of the key responsibilities associated with this position. Additional tasks may be assigned as necessary.
1.

Act as a consultative liaison for clients; assess and comprehend client requirements and offer recommendations with justifications with minimal oversight from the Producer.

2.

Support the producer in sales initiatives, including addressing Requests for Proposals, engaging in prospect discussions, and promoting additional lines and endorsements that enhance coverage and fulfill client needs.

3. Capability to lead mid-year evaluations and annual stewardship sessions.
4. Establish and nurture vital client and carrier relationships through phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
5. Develop a comprehensive understanding of the current market landscape and the options available for risk transfer.
6.

Collaborate closely with local and national leadership to advance line of business strategies and initiatives while promoting and implementing best practices.

7.

Exhibit strong negotiation skills regarding pricing, when applicable, and policy conditions with selected carriers, determining the most suitable carrier(s) for the client within marketing guidelines.

8. Assist the Producer and Account Manager in gathering client information.
9.

Provide assessments and recommendations regarding coverage needs to the Producer and client, aid the Producer in formulating initial marketing and renewal strategies, and spearhead the execution of marketing and renewal plans, collaborating with Account Managers and other team members while maintaining direct communication with carrier underwriters and representatives.

10. Oversee the renewal process and prepare company applications and submissions to relevant markets.
11. Support the Producer in and/or lead the presentation of coverage and renewal proposals to the client.
12. Assist designated clients and colleagues with service inquiries related to administration, billing, claims, and problem resolution, as needed.
13. Work with the Account Manager to schedule and facilitate team meetings.
14. Comprehend and utilize client management systems and other pertinent technology platforms.
15.

Ensure that service team procedures are appropriate and adhered to, with accurate documentation and premium amounts, and assist in the collection of premium payments.

16. In collaboration with the Account Manager and Client Service Specialist, effectively address workflow challenges.
17.

Participate in seminars, training sessions, and carrier meetings to stay informed about new products available for clients and to gain expertise in legislative changes.

18. Mentor and train other account service team members, demonstrating strong interpersonal and professional relationship-building skills.
19. Additional job duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and/or relevant experience.
2. Six years of pertinent experience in the insurance sector.
3. Valid insurance license (Property & Casualty).
4. Extensive knowledge of markets, policies, and coverage issues across all states and industries served.
5. Organizational skills to plan and prioritize team tasks and oversee the application of workflows and procedures.
6. Leadership abilities and a service-oriented mindset to provide guidance, recognition, constructive feedback, and development to team members, maximizing productivity and morale.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to cultivate and maintain positive business relationships with clients, market contacts, and colleagues.
8. Proficient persuasion skills and tact to gather information, negotiate with markets, secure commitments or payments, and motivate staff.
9. Discretion and problem-solving abilities to analyze client data, assess proposal competitiveness, and resolve client, market, and employee relations issues.
10. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite.
11. Willingness to travel overnight.

1. Additional advanced degrees.
2. Industry certifications beyond necessary licenses.
3. Significant experience in leading teams and/or projects.
