Position Overview

AXS is in search of a Senior Financial Analyst to contribute to our operations. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in financial planning and budgeting processes, conduct Profit & Loss analysis, develop financial models, assist with monthly forecasting, and perform necessary analyses. You will also provide guidance and support during the monthly closing process. A solid understanding of financial planning and analysis is crucial for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform intricate financial analyses to identify trends and provide recommendations for informed decision-making.
  • Assist business leaders in formulating their annual budgets and generating monthly forecasts.
  • Collaborate with department heads to strategize and manage their Profit and Loss (P&L) activities.
  • Analyze historical data and integrate industry trends to forecast future revenues and expenses.
  • Evaluate data to uncover financial trends, opportunities, and areas for enhancement.
  • Review and analyze comprehensive financial reports for management, covering financial results, key performance indicators (KPIs), and detailed budget variance analysis.
  • Support the Senior Director of FP&A by providing financial insights and analyses to facilitate the company's long-term growth.
  • Prepare and present variance explanations and analyses for monthly management P&L review meetings.
  • Work closely with the Accounting team to ensure an accurate and timely monthly close.
  • Serve as a resource for departments regarding transactional inquiries and financial/budget-related questions that require analytical problem-solving.
  • Update and distribute presentations for Financial Review and Budget meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures concerning Invoice/Concur approvals and manage expectations with business unit leaders.
Qualifications
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, forecasting, or accounting.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field, preferably Accounting or Finance.
  • Familiarity with planning solutions, Oracle (JD Edwards), OneStream, and/or Hubble.
  • Experience with financial systems and proficiency in handling large datasets.
  • Working knowledge of budgeting, financial analysis, financial modeling, and accounting principles.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, modeling, and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn necessary business systems.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Willingness to work seasonal overtime to meet business demands.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the Live Entertainment sector.
Compensation: $69,397 - $90,000
