Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to play a crucial role in our financial operations. This position involves a variety of responsibilities including financial planning, budget management, and performance analysis. A solid understanding of financial metrics and analytical skills is vital for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth financial analyses to uncover trends and provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with business leaders to formulate annual budgets and generate monthly forecasts.
- Work closely with department heads to manage and optimize Profit and Loss (P&L) activities.
- Analyze historical financial data and market trends to project future revenue and expenses.
- Identify financial trends and opportunities for improvement through comprehensive data evaluation.
- Prepare detailed financial reports for management, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and budget variance analyses.
- Support the Senior Director of FP&A by providing financial insights to aid in the company's long-term growth strategy.
- Prepare variance explanations for monthly management P&L review meetings, with opportunities to present findings.
- Collaborate with the Accounting team to ensure accurate and timely monthly financial closes.
- Serve as a resource for various departments regarding financial inquiries and budget-related issues.
- Update and create presentations for financial review and budget meetings.
- Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures, particularly regarding invoice approvals.
- 4-6 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, forecasting, or accounting.
- Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field, preferably Accounting or Finance.
- Familiarity with financial planning solutions such as Oracle (JD Edwards), OneStream, or Hubble.
- Proficient in financial systems and capable of managing large datasets.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, financial modeling, and accounting principles.
- Advanced skills in Excel, financial modeling, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and manage projects with minimal supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Willingness to work additional hours during peak business periods.
- Experience in the live entertainment industry.
