Position Overview

The Global Consolidations Specialist plays a vital role in the monthly financial closing process, ensuring the accurate and successful completion of both internal and external financial statements. This position collaborates with regional teams worldwide to resolve reporting discrepancies and intercompany balance issues, reviews global allocations and adjustments, and evaluates consolidated outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and execute the global closing process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of monthly internal and external financial reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly internal management reports for the CFO and other finance executives.
  • Review and approve recurring and adjusting journal entries.
  • Oversee and authorize balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to address accounting inquiries and classification challenges.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the company's chart of accounts hierarchy and its alignment with external financials.
  • Prepare cash flow statements for regulatory filings.
  • Supervise and review the global balance sheet fluctuation review process.
  • Act as a primary contact for global results inquiries from FP&A teams.
  • Review and prepare SOX internal control self-assessments and documentation.
  • Support external and internal auditors with audit inquiries and testing.
  • Prepare ad-hoc requests and participate in additional projects as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Active CPA certification.
  • Over 5 years of relevant corporate accounting experience in a large multinational organization or a combination of public accounting and multinational corporate accounting roles.
  • Proficiency in US GAAP accounting and reporting.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to utilize various software tools for data analysis and manage large datasets effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills, capable of resolving issues within a complex accounting framework, detail-oriented with a broad conceptual understanding.
  • Highly motivated individual with multitasking capabilities, adept at collaborating in team settings and self-directed environments.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with all levels of management.
  • Able to work within defined time constraints and meet deadlines during month-end financial closures while successfully driving long-term projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience with international consolidations accounting in a public company.
  • Experience in engaging with and presenting to senior management.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Cloud and Smartview query tools.
