Position Overview:

Sportsman's Warehouse is seeking a dedicated professional to manage the applications utilized by our Human Resources division, encompassing HRIS, Time Clocks, Workforce Management, and process automation. Collaborating closely with IT colleagues and committed to consistently enhancing capabilities to meet the demands of our HR team, the ideal candidate will possess a strong enthusiasm for innovative technologies, a vision for developing sustainable and scalable solutions, and a robust drive for excellence.

This role will serve as a technical authority on integration functionalities for HR and Payroll Systems. Responsibilities will include conducting research, analysis, design, and development across a diverse array of next-generation API and integration solutions. The candidate will establish technical standards and create reusable frameworks to guarantee secure, consistent, and efficient development of integration capabilities and products.

The individual will take technical ownership of Service Provider deliverables and guide their technical teams to ensure high-quality outputs that adhere to our technical standards and best practices while performing effectively at scale.

Additionally, you will explore emerging technologies that can offer future capabilities and seek solutions for intricate technical challenges. You will be responsible for making decisions on complex, non-routine requests to support analytics-driven decision-making by HR and associated business teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, upgrade, develop, and enhance the HRIS, currently utilizing UKG UltiPro.
  • Oversee and actively engage in the rollout of a new Workforce Management solution.
  • Manage timeclocks and related software.
  • Lead business process automation initiatives for HR as requirements evolve.
  • Act as the primary liaison between HR and IT, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and customer service.
  • Collaborate with HR stakeholders to refine requirements and identify new opportunities for process automation.
  • Independently configure, upgrade, and maintain third-party SaaS and on-premise software.
  • Develop new process automation solutions using Java, JIRA, and Ivanti.
  • Influence and oversee all HRIS system connectivity, including but not limited to 401(k) platforms, Benefits (such as HSA & FSA), and Payroll data transmissions.
  • Lead RFPs, exploration, and implementation of all HR-related systems.
  • Stay informed on the implications and expectations of AI within HR technologies.
  • Adapt to learn and support other enterprise systems as necessary.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in building, maintaining, and integrating enterprise software.
  • Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages, including Java.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing process automation using various tools.
  • Experience in integrating, configuring, upgrading, and maintaining HRIS implementations, particularly UKG.
  • Familiarity with workforce management solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Education and Experience:

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Information Technology preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience, with a preference for candidates with exposure to Retail.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in implementing and utilizing REST APIs.

  • The employee may occasionally need to exert up to 10 lbs. of force and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this role include near acuity at 20 inches or less due to computer work.
  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee will experience a moderate noise level typical of a business office with computers, phones, and printers.

Travel Requirements:

This position may necessitate occasional travel, up to 10%.
