Transformative Travel Sales Leader

At AAA Northern California, Nevada & Utah, we are revolutionizing the travel industry with our innovative approach to customer service. As a Travel Sales Manager - Regional Business Development Lead, you will be at the forefront of this transformation, driving revenue growth and excellence in sales performance.

About the Role:

This key position oversees the travel function across various lines of business within the AAA Mountain West Group territory. Your primary responsibility is to increase travel sales revenue by effectively managing your team and establishing suitable staffing levels for assigned locations. You will also work closely with management to facilitate and drive travel sales, resolve member issues, and oversee the day-to-day performance of Counselors.

Your region includes San Francisco, North Bay, and the Peninsula. This role requires substantial time spent in the field with your team as well as through business development in the communities you cover.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive travel sales revenue through the management of your team and relative goals.
  • Cultivate coaching skills to achieve desired sales productivity and growth, as well as overcome challenges.
  • Analyze sales and industry trends to capitalize on opportunities.
  • Execute business line incentive programs and marketing campaigns to achieve sales and revenue goals.
  • Set sales goals in conjunction with business line and hold your team accountable for reaching goals.
  • Manage performance standards and goals, focusing on customer sales, customer satisfaction, reducing agent errors, and ensuring compliance.
  • Resolving issues fairly within service parameters established by Travel Agency management to strengthen employee and member relationships.
  • Identify process efficiencies in automation, reporting, policies, and procedures for reservation booking, report generation, and workflow management.
  • Build relationships with industry representatives, vendors, local community leaders, and travel professionals to facilitate sales growth and improved value proposition for members.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree plus 5 years related travel experience OR High School diploma plus 9 years of travel sales & service experience.
  • 3+ years of supervisory/management experience Required.
  • Valid Drivers License.

We offer a competitive compensation package that aligns with your qualifications and experience. The estimated salary range for this position is $95,903 - $144,067 per year, based on market conditions and considering the responsibilities involved.
