We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented payroll and HR administrator to join our team at Phoenix Pro Connect. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our subsidiary's HR and payroll functions.

The successful candidate will have a broad range of responsibilities, including payroll administration, and collaborative efforts with the HR department at our headquarters.

This position reports directly to the company controller and will have full responsibility for the HR and payroll functions at this location.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Payroll Processing: Manage and oversee end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accurate calculations of wages, bonuses, commissions, and deductions.
  • ADP Utilization: Utilize the ADP workforce now software for payroll data input, processing, and reporting, staying up-to-date with ADP system updates and enhancements.
  • Garnishment Administration: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of garnishment laws and regulations, processing and administering wage garnishments accurately and in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Reports and Analysis: Generate payroll reports for management, accounting, and auditing purposes, analyzing payroll data to identify discrepancies and resolve them promptly.
  • HR General Responsibilities: Collaborate with the HR department at headquarters to ensure alignment with company HR policies and initiatives, assisting in recruitment and onboarding processes as needed.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax laws, keeping abreast of changes in payroll legislation and implementing necessary updates.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data in a confidential manner, preparing and maintaining employee payroll files and documentation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (preferred).
  • Extensive experience in payroll administration, including hands-on experience with ADP software.
  • Strong knowledge of garnishment laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of payroll tax regulations is a plus.
