Job Overview:

The Business Development Representative at AvidXchange plays a crucial role in driving account-based growth strategies within the Automated AP solutions industry.

This position serves as the first point of contact for target accounts, responsible for managing key activities such as researching accounts, identifying opportunities, and assessing buying group needs.

The BDR is aligned with a specific industry vertical and partners with Marketing Campaign Managers and internal stakeholders to generate demand through outbound tele-prospecting.

Responsibilities include executing high-volume prospecting efforts, gaining product expertise, conducting online research, and developing messaging for outbound communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute high-volume prospecting efforts daily, including phone, email, and social media outreach, to generate qualified leads
  • Gain a deep understanding of AvidXchange's Automated A/P solutions to effectively convey their value
  • Conduct online research on account organizational structures, leadership changes, and key needs to develop targeted messaging
  • Identify new key contacts and leverage insights to develop personalized outreach strategies
  • Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities and collaborate with internal stakeholders to build aggressive prospecting strategies

Requirements:

  • Ability to build rapport with prospects, including senior-level executives
  • Ability to recognize the right people to target and engage within a named account
  • Ability to interpret data from first- and third-party sources to personalize outbound communications
  • Time management skills and discipline to maintain quality across multiple activities
