Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at ResCare Community Living. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each person served.
  • Conduct regular assessments and reassessments to ensure the effectiveness of care plans and make necessary adjustments.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, caregivers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Ensure compliance with state and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Supervise and train direct care staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities and maintain ongoing clinical knowledge through internal and external training programs.
  • Address acute and ongoing health issues, and ensure that medical appointments are scheduled and attended as needed.
  • Ensure that medical records are up-to-date and accurate, and that all necessary documentation is completed in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Must have at least one year of nursing experience, including six months in a supervisory role.
  • Clinical experience in providing services and supports to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or related disorders is preferred.
  • Degree/certification from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Must maintain licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice, which is current and remains in good standing.
  • Valid driver's license from state of residence.
  • CPR Certification.
