Oncology Nursing Care Manager

VHC Health is a leading healthcare provider seeking a highly skilled Oncology Nursing Care Manager to join our team. This role comes with a competitive salary of $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

About the Role:

This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients with cancer, including coordination of care across disciplines and management of patient flow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement patient care plans that meet individual needs
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions
  • Manage patient flow and bed utilization to optimize resource allocation
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in Nursing required; Master's preferred
  • Three years of nursing experience in an acute care setting; oncology experience preferred
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Virginia Department of Health Professions or compact state licensure in nursing
  • BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications preferred

Certifications and Training:

  • ACLS: ED, ICU, CVICU/CVSD, Cardiac Cath Lab, Cardiopulmonary Rehab, Bronch Suite, Interventional Radiology, Radiology Safety Nurses, 6A, 6B, 7A, 8B, Labor and Delivery, Hemodialysis, Respiratory Therapy, Supplemental Pool Telemetry Nurses, GI Unit, and PACU
  • PALS: PACU: Pediatric Nurses, ED
  • NRP: NICU, Mother Baby, Labor and Delivery
  • De-escalation training: BHU, ED
