Oncology Nurse Specialist

About the Role:
The Oncology Nurse Specialist will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Job Summary:
This position requires a highly skilled Registered Nurse with experience in oncology to join our team at US Oncology. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized plans of care, and evaluating patient progress.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless coordination of patient care.
- Administer medications and therapies under the direction of a physician.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, treatment plans, and outcomes.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development activities to stay current on best practices in oncology nursing.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 0-3 years of experience in oncology nursing, preferably in a hospital or clinic setting.
- Current RN licensure and certification in basic life support (BLS) required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
