Nurse Practitioner, Medical Oncology Specialist

VHC Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner, Medical Oncology Specialist to join our team. This role offers a competitive salary of $123,000 per year, based on experience.
About the Role:
In this position, you will provide direct and indirect total nursing care to patients with cancer, including supervision of assigned personnel and interpretation of hospital policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor's in Nursing required; Master's preferred
- Two years of nursing experience in an acute care setting; oncology experience preferred
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Virginia Department of Health Professions or compact state licensure in nursing
- BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
Certifications and Training:
- ACLS: ED, ICU, CVICU/CVSD, Cardiac Cath Lab, Cardiopulmonary Rehab, Bronch Suite, Interventional Radiology, Radiology Safety Nurses, 6A, 6B, 7A, 8B, Labor and Delivery, Hemodialysis, Respiratory Therapy, Supplemental Pool Telemetry Nurses, GI Unit, and PACU
- PALS: PACU: Pediatric Nurses, ED
- NRP: NICU, Mother Baby, Labor and Delivery
- De-escalation training: BHU, ED
