Position Overview: A PRN Therapist is dedicated to delivering high-quality direct care to a diverse range of complex pediatric patients. By engaging in an interdisciplinary approach, they play a vital role in the continuum of care, ensuring that each child receives the best possible treatment tailored to their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts thorough evaluations in physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech-language pathology in accordance with established professional standards and departmental guidelines.
  • Exhibits a comprehensive understanding of intervention strategies and implements effective treatment plans in physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech-language pathology.
  • Engages in ongoing professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Contributes to quality improvement initiatives and program development efforts.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

Compensation: Position Compensation Range: $55.00 Hourly

Minimum Qualifications:

For Physical Therapy:
Education: Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy
Experience: Minimum of 1 year relevant experience
Licensure: Must be licensed to practice Physical Therapy in Virginia. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification is required.

For Occupational Therapy:
Education: Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy
Experience: Minimum of 1 year relevant experience
Licensure: Must be licensed to practice Occupational Therapy in Virginia. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification is required.

For Speech Language Pathology:
Education: Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology
Experience: Minimum of 1 year relevant experience
Certifications: Must be a licensed Speech Language Pathologist in Virginia and hold the ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification is required.

Physical Demands: The role requires the ability to stand for extended periods, frequent bending, and mobility. Proficient communication, auditory, and visual skills are essential. Attention to detail and legible writing are necessary. The position may involve lifting, pushing, or pulling heavy objects and exposure to blood, body fluids, and infectious diseases.
