The therapist at this level possesses extensive clinical expertise, enabling them to cater to various patient demographics within the health system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts evaluations in physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech-language pathology in accordance with professional standards and departmental guidelines.
- Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of intervention strategies and implements skilled therapy programs tailored to individual patient needs.
- Engages in ongoing professional development activities to enhance clinical skills.
- Contributes to quality improvement initiatives and program development efforts.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.
Compensation: Position Compensation Range: $55.00 Hourly
Minimum Qualifications:
For Physical Therapy:
Education: Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy
Experience: Minimum of 1 year relevant experience
Licensure: Valid Physical Therapy license in the Commonwealth of Virginia; AHA Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
For Occupational Therapy:
Education: Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy
Experience: Minimum of 1 year relevant experience
Licensure: Valid Occupational Therapy license in the Commonwealth of Virginia; AHA Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
For Speech Language Pathology:
Education: Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology
Experience: Minimum of 1 year relevant experience
Certifications: Licensed Speech Language Pathologist in Virginia; ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence; AHA Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
Physical Demands:
This role requires the ability to stand for extended periods, frequent bending, and the capacity to lift/push/pull as necessary. Proficient communication, auditory, and visual skills are essential, along with attention to detail and legible writing. Exposure to blood/body fluids and infectious diseases may occur.
