Position Summary:

The HVAC Product Support Specialist is responsible for delivering technical knowledge and training focused on HVAC-related products. This role acts as a technical resource for both internal teams and external partners across various product categories. The primary responsibility is to offer technical assistance to field technicians working with our products. This crucial aspect of our operations supports both Residential and Commercial product lines. In addition to providing support via phone, site visits with dealers may be necessary to resolve issues effectively. Other responsibilities include managing customer relations, addressing warranty concerns, and conducting technical training sessions for dealers. This position will operate from a designated facility during standard business hours.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver remote technical support and assistance for troubleshooting product installation and service challenges through various communication channels.
  • Provide system-level technical guidance to both internal and external clients.
  • Manage technical inquiries from contractors, offering assistance and collaborating with manufacturers.
  • Develop and implement training programs for contractors and internal staff.
  • Engage in technical sales activities to encourage contractors to utilize our equipment brands.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for contractors, delivering HVAC equipment product support with a focus on exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current product lines, including installation and service practices.
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the HVAC sector with comprehensive knowledge of system design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Proven experience in providing technical assistance to customers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Licensed HVAC technician.
  • Familiarity with sealants, plumbing, electrical systems, and general construction practices.
Work Environment:

The role is primarily office-based, with occasional exposure to a warehouse setting requiring appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). The physical and mental demands outlined are representative of those necessary for successful job performance. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities. Moderate noise levels, typical office lighting, and temperature variations are expected. The employee may need to stand, walk, or sit at a computer for extended periods and may work in confined spaces. Lifting or moving up to 25 lbs may be required. Proficiency in computer use is essential, with specific vision capabilities needed for this role including close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
