The HVAC Systems Support Specialist is responsible for delivering expert technical guidance and training focused on HVAC-related products. This role acts as a vital technical resource for both internal teams and external partners across diverse product categories. The primary objective is to offer technical assistance to field technicians working with our products. This critical function supports both Residential and Commercial product lines. In addition to providing support via phone, site visits with dealers may be necessary to resolve issues effectively. Additional responsibilities include managing customer relations, addressing warranty concerns, and conducting technical training sessions for dealers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver remote technical support and assistance in troubleshooting product installation and service challenges through phone, remote tools, or email.
- Provide system-level technical support to both internal and external clients.
- Manage technical inquiries from contractors, assisting them while collaborating with manufacturers.
- Develop and implement training programs for contractors and internal staff.
- Engage in technical sales activities to encourage contractors to adopt our equipment brands.
- Act as a subject matter expert for contractors, offering HVAC equipment product support with a focus on customer service.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current product lines, including installation and service practices.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the HVAC sector with comprehensive knowledge of system design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Proven experience in providing technical assistance to customers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze and resolve problems using technical and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and writing abilities.
- Commitment to enhancing customer experience.
- Strong critical thinking skills and a desire to explore business insights.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Licensed HVAC technician.
- Familiarity with sealants, plumbing, electrical systems, and general construction practices.
This position typically operates in an office setting, with occasional exposure to a warehouse environment requiring appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). The physical and mental demands outlined here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.
