Job Overview

Position Objective: The Technology Services Community Analyst will concentrate on the technological frameworks and offerings within our multifamily residences, ensuring their efficiency and operational availability. These community technologies encompass smart home systems, managed wireless networks, access control solutions, surveillance systems, package management technologies, digital displays, and ambient music systems. This role involves collaborating with community teams to manage and supervise all technical requirements during relocations and renovations. The individual will partner with other IT team members to guarantee the consistent provision and support of all community technology services.

Key Responsibilities: The following responsibilities are essential to the role and may be adjusted as necessary:

  • Oversee the installation, enhancement, and support of technology systems and services within our multifamily residences, ensuring thorough documentation and operational functionality.
  • Continuously monitor technology systems and services, collaborating with vendors to repair or modify systems to achieve measurable performance improvements and maintain system uptime.
  • Maintain comprehensive inventory records, including warranty details and primary contacts for support.
  • Engage with team members regularly to offer technical guidance and expertise, while enhancing existing IT knowledge and skills.
  • Develop, implement, and uphold standards and procedures for the design and configuration of technology systems and services within our multifamily residences.
  • Create and maintain documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintenance schedules, network diagrams, and configuration standards.
  • Conduct and supervise scheduled tasks for system upgrades, updates, and routine maintenance that cannot be executed during standard business hours.
  • Evaluate the current technological landscape and research advancements to recommend future implementations that align with business objectives.
  • Take ownership of support tickets, working to resolve issues efficiently and providing repeatable solutions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Work independently as needed to identify issues in support processes and propose resolutions while adhering to change management protocols.
  • Travel to various site locations as necessary.

Qualifications and Skills: The candidate must demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities, and be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related fields required, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in an IT environment or equivalent educational background.
  • Strong understanding of technology systems and services utilized in multifamily residences, including but not limited to surveillance systems, audio-visual solutions, and access control technologies.
  • Familiarity with switches, routers, firewalls, LAN & WAN technologies, as well as network diagnostics and monitoring techniques.
  • Knowledge of telecommunications systems, including their support, design, and deployment.
  • Experience with wireless deployment, including centralized and standalone designs, authentication technologies, and authorization methods.
  • Proficiency with system, network, and performance management tools for event and fault isolation, as well as resource optimization.
  • Exhibit strong communication and decision-making abilities while effectively prioritizing and managing time spent on work activities.
  • A highly motivated team player with a positive attitude, capable of rapid learning and demonstrating excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot various issues effectively over the phone in a fast-paced, dynamic IT environment within a principled and success-oriented organization.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accurate records of all changes.
