The Catholic Charities of Central Washington is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to fill the role of Case Manager - Young Adult Housing Program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing the program per contract guidelines and providing rental assistance and intensive case management for program youth between the ages of 18-24.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the challenges faced by young adults and a passion for empowering them to achieve self-sufficiency. You will engage with youth and support them in learning skills to become independent, with the ultimate goal of maintaining unsubsidized housing.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing services to program youth with a strengths-based approach and utilizing Trauma-Informed Care and Motivational Interviewing techniques in both individual and group settings.
  • Conducting outreach activities to potential program youth and implementing the selection process to screen and enroll program youth.
  • Entering program youth into the homeless client management information system and developing relationships with local landlords and housing authorities to secure apartment opportunities.
  • Planning, organizing, and facilitating regular group events for youth, including roommate facilitation meetings, budgeting/savings meetings, and community building events.
  • Teaching youth independent living skills in an individual setting to support self-sufficiency and assisting youth in reaching their personal goals.
  • Supporting youth in maintaining their housing and monitoring their housing status, providing financial literacy training to help youth acquire economic self-sufficiency, and evaluating each program youth's eligibility and compliance with program policies and procedures.
  • Coordinating services with other foster youth program staff within Youth Services to ensure a coordinated delivery of service to clients.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Social Services, understanding and ability to work with youth ages 18-24, ability to multi-task and provide structured guidance and follow-through to help youth reach long-term goals, basic computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and automated database, knowledge of community resources, and ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
