Children's Day School, Inc. is on the lookout for a dedicated Assistant Teacher to become an integral part of our educational team. In this role, you will collaborate with our lead educators and administrative staff to foster a nurturing and secure atmosphere for children. Your duties will encompass the execution of engaging educational activities, maintaining open lines of communication with families, and supporting the holistic development and welfare of the children.
Core Responsibilities:
- Assist in the delivery of curriculum activities while encouraging active participation from children.
- Engage in classroom activities, manage educational materials, and uphold cleanliness standards.
- Maintain regular communication with parents and provide updates on children's progress.
- Encourage self-sufficiency and promote healthy hygiene practices.
- Support smooth transitions for children from home to the educational environment.
- Comply with organizational policies and state regulations.
- Commit to ongoing professional development in early childhood education.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in Early Childhood Education or possess a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
- Exhibit high energy levels, patience, and strong collaborative skills.
- Possess effective communication abilities and basic computer skills.
- Have a solid understanding of child development principles.
- Demonstrate excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Hold certifications in Infant/Child CPR and First Aid.
- Successfully pass a comprehensive background check and health assessment.
