Job Summary and Qualifications
The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for executing all established ultrasound procedures while considering age-related factors in care, treatment, education, and evaluation of patients from neonates to geriatrics. This role requires adherence to professional standards and departmental policies, ensuring safety and universal precautions at all times.

The ideal candidate will pursue professional development for the continual improvement of patient care and demonstrate the ability to adapt to changes in volume and acuity demands. Responsibilities also include supporting staffing decisions and demonstrating efforts to eliminate waste.

Qualifications
Education:
Graduate of an Ultrasound Technology program approved by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association or equivalent education and training.
Licensure:
RDMS Certification and BCLS certification are required.
Experience:
Ability to perform ultrasound procedures following accepted standards and protocols.

Work Hours:
As scheduled by the Department Director to ensure appropriate coverage of department services, including weekends and on-call requirements.
