Job Summary and Qualifications
The Radiologic Technologist performs radiographic procedures utilizing both fixed and portable units within the imaging department, nursing units, and operating suites. Responsibilities include assisting physicians in fluoroscopy with fixed and portable units, practicing radiation safety, and adhering to universal precautions at all times. Continuous professional development is pursued for the ongoing enhancement of patient care.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Utilizing appropriate resources to complete assignments within designated timeframes.
  • Adapting to fluctuations in volume and acuity demands.
  • Maintaining composure in crisis situations.
  • Adhering to Attendance and Tardiness Policy.
  • Supporting responsible staffing decisions.
  • Demonstrating efforts to eliminate waste.

Qualifications
Education:
Graduate of a radiologic technology program accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association or equivalent education.
Licensure:
Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as an RT(R) or eligibility for registry. Note: Registry-eligible applicants must obtain certification within six months of hire.
BCLS certification required.

Experience:
Ability to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures following accepted standards and departmental protocols.
