Job Responsibilities and Qualifications

The Ultrasound Technician is tasked with executing all standard ultrasound procedures, taking into account the age-related needs of patients from infants to seniors. Responsibilities include:

  • Utilizing appropriate resources to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Adapting to varying patient volumes and acuity levels while maintaining composure in challenging situations.
  • Adhering to attendance policies and supporting effective staffing decisions.
  • Implementing strategies to minimize waste.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program.
  • Licensure: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
  • Certification: Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification is mandatory.
  • Experience: Proven ability to perform ultrasound procedures in accordance with established protocols.

Work Schedule

The work schedule will be determined by the Department Director to ensure adequate coverage of services. Weekend availability is required, and participation in on-call duties is expected as per departmental guidelines.
