Position Overview
The Information Technology Associate (ITA) plays a crucial role within the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), working under the guidance of the Information Technology Supervisor II (ITS II). This position is primarily focused on a variety of analytical functions related to the assessment, development, execution, and maintenance of IT systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in comprehensive analysis and collaboration with fellow business analysts on IT systems projects that are complex or extensive in nature.
- Support the Strategic Offender Management System (SOMS) initiatives, ensuring that all IT systems align with the department's objectives.
- Participate in the implementation of innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
Additional Information
Applicants are encouraged to utilize their existing CDCR email addresses during the application process. Most roles within CDCR Enterprise Information Services offer the flexibility of telework, although in-person attendance may be required on occasion.
All candidates must adhere to the guidelines regarding the submission of confidential information. It is imperative to exclude sensitive data such as Social Security Numbers, birthdates, and other personal identifiers from any documents submitted for employment consideration.
Eligibility Requirements
Verification of Minimum Qualifications will occur prior to any interview or appointment. Candidates must provide unofficial transcripts or diplomas for educational qualifications, with official documentation required upon appointment.
New candidates will undergo a background investigation process, including Live Scan Fingerprinting and Tuberculosis testing, prior to appointment.
