Payroll Administrator

Sunroad Automotive seeks a highly skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing and processing payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Enter, maintain, and process payroll information in our system, including employee hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses, and other compensation.
- Review personnel files for accuracy and completeness of documentation.
- Maintain general ledger distributions for earnings and deduction coding.
- Ensure proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, and other deductions.
- Issue or reissue physical or replacement checks or direct deposits due to payroll errors or final discharge.
- Stay current with payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries and issues from employees, such as paycheck discrepancies or tax withholding concerns.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure timely and accurate resolution of payroll issues.
- Maintain satisfactory attendance.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Two years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping with at least six months of experience in payroll.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
- Ability to perform all essential functions of the job description.
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Payroll Professional.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll software.
