Job Title: Payroll Administrator

Sunroad Automotive seeks a highly skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing and processing payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enter, maintain, and process payroll information in our system, including employee hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses, and other compensation.
  • Review personnel files for accuracy and completeness of documentation.
  • Maintain general ledger distributions for earnings and deduction coding.
  • Ensure proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, and other deductions.
  • Issue or reissue physical or replacement checks or direct deposits due to payroll errors or final discharge.
  • Stay current with payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries and issues from employees, such as paycheck discrepancies or tax withholding concerns.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure timely and accurate resolution of payroll issues.
  • Maintain satisfactory attendance.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Two years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping with at least six months of experience in payroll.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Ability to perform all essential functions of the job description.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certified Payroll Professional.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll software.
