Job Summary

HQ Aero Management Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Flight Controls Mechanic to join our team. As a Flight Controls Mechanic, you will be responsible for the removal and installation of flight control surfaces, components, and repair to ensure airworthiness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize OEM and engineering drawings to modify aircraft structure and flight controls on aircraft as required.
  • Perform weight and balance calculations, including calculation of flight control surfaces.
  • Rig and operational test all flight control surfaces, including autopilot.
  • Troubleshoot flight control systems.
  • Operate in compliance with company safety practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Airframe and Powerplant license preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of previous commercial MRO experience required.
  • Experience on 737/767/Airbus required.
  • Repair, modify, replace, or otherwise perform routine aircraft maintenance work in specialized areas of aircraft.
  • Develop repair schemes utilizing SRM or engineering data.
  • Communicate effectively with other maintenance personnel at all levels.
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • Criminal background check and compliance with FAA drug and alcohol screening checks mandatory.
Working Conditions
  • Work in a hangar and ramp environment.
  • May work near moving mechanical parts in high, precarious places.
  • May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
  • This position requires use of a respirator.
Environment
  • The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate to high.
