Position Overview: Gecko Hospitality is in search of a dedicated and innovative Executive Culinary Leader to guide our esteemed Culinary team. Our establishment is committed to providing outstanding dining experiences through creative cuisine and exceptional service. The Executive Culinary Leader will be instrumental in overseeing kitchen operations and upholding the highest standards of culinary artistry within our Upscale Dining and Event Services.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Kitchen Management: Effectively supervise all facets of kitchen management, including inventory oversight, supply procurement, equipment upkeep, and ensuring adherence to cleanliness and safety protocols.
  • Team Development: Recruit, train, and nurture kitchen personnel, cultivating a collaborative atmosphere that inspires creativity and a passion for culinary arts.
  • Quality Assurance: Guarantee that every dish served aligns with the utmost quality standards regarding flavor, presentation, and freshness. Conduct routine taste evaluations and modify recipes or techniques as necessary.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage the kitchen's financial plan, controlling food costs, labor expenses, and minimizing waste to secure profitability.
  • Guest Experience: Collaborate closely with the front-of-house team to ensure guest satisfaction, addressing feedback and adjusting offerings as needed.
  • Supplier Relations: Foster positive relationships with vendors, sourcing top-quality ingredients while negotiating advantageous terms.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all food safety and sanitation regulations, maintaining an exemplary inspection record.

Qualifications:
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience as an Executive Culinary Leader, Executive Chef, or Executive Sous Chef in a reputable High-End/Upscale Restaurant, Hotel, Club, or Culinary establishment.
  • Culinary Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of diverse culinary techniques, cuisines, and kitchen equipment.
  • Innovative Thinking: A strong creative vision with the ability to develop and adapt menus to align with trends and customer preferences.
  • Leadership Abilities: Outstanding leadership and communication skills, with a proven history of motivating and cultivating a high-performing kitchen team.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and time-management capabilities, with the ability to multitask and perform efficiently under pressure.
  • Educational Background: Culinary school degree or equivalent professional training is preferred.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., food safety certification) are advantageous.
