Position Overview

The Senior Parts Clerk is responsible for executing a high level of functional tasks essential for the efficient, effective, and compliant operation of parts warehousing and ordering processes within the global vehicles sector. This role ensures prompt and effective parts support for vehicle maintenance clients worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the inventory of parts and oversee the processing of invoices related to purchasing and shipping.
  • Foster and maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Adhere to all applicable regulations and guidelines to ensure compliance in parts operations.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the overall objectives of the department.

Educational Requirements

A high school diploma or GED is required.

Experience Requirements

A minimum of four (4) years of experience in managing or coordinating parts inventory, preferably within the automotive, truck, or heavy equipment sectors.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Familiarity with ATA codes for parts stocking.
  • Proven ability to operate material handling equipment in accordance with established policies.
  • Understanding of ground support equipment.
  • Proficient in using personal computers and relevant software.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective communication skills are essential.

Working Conditions

Candidates must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and managing heavier weights with assistance regularly. The role requires the ability to work independently for extended periods and in a noisy environment without climate control. A constant state of alertness and adherence to safety protocols is necessary. Flexibility to work various shifts is required. A valid driver's license in the state of residence is mandatory, along with the successful completion of dangerous goods training.
