Job Summary

The Inventory Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our business by monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on client inventory levels. This position requires a problem-solver who can dig into inventory information, perform root cause analyses, and implement policies and procedures to drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Track and measure defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to align with SGI, LLC goals and client expectations for reporting and consulting purposes.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report all inventory item levels to ensure accurate and timely delivery of materials.
  • Set up and maintain items in inventory management systems to ensure seamless data flow.
  • Coordinate with material production vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials.
  • Receive and resolve client inquiries by assigning internal responsibilities, coordinating collaboration, and communicating resolution back to the appropriate individual(s).
  • Coordinate with internal partners and personnel to ensure timely availability of materials for marketing production.
  • Coordinate with internal IT and Warehouse personnel to research and provide answers to client requests.
  • Apply analytical skills to resolve inventory issues, identify root causes, and implement policies and procedures to drive continuous improvement.

  • Strong process analysis skills, with the ability to understand current processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Strong oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Flexibility to manage changing priorities and/or methods with minimal notice while maintaining a positive attitude.

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage deadlines.
  • Able to audit and assess processes quickly.
  • Accurately enter data and information into Excel and database management applications.

Required Education/Experience/License:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated achievement in mathematical and/or analytical coursework or work experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Retail experience is a plus.
