Position Overview

The Inventory Management Specialist plays a crucial role in guaranteeing that physical inventory items are accurately configured and accessible to the designated personnel at the appropriate times. This position primarily involves troubleshooting, analyzing inventory metrics, conducting root cause assessments, assisting clients, and contributing to the development of policies and procedures. The Inventory Management Specialist collaborates daily with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of these responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement:

  • Adopt an ownership mindset to ensure client satisfaction following every interaction.
  • Manage and oversee client access to the inventory management system, including resolving any technical issues.
  • Identify and escalate urgent matters that require immediate attention.
  • Address and resolve inquiries through effective coordination and collaboration, ensuring timely communication of resolutions.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to meet client needs.

Internal Collaboration:

  • Work alongside internal teams to research and provide solutions to requests.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to offer backup and support for other clients as necessary.
  • Coordinate with internal partners and external vendors to guarantee the timely availability of materials for production.

Inventory Analysis:

  • Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies, applying analytical skills to uncover root causes and implement corrective measures.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of client operations and the purpose of the inventory.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on inventory levels.
  • Establish and maintain items within inventory management systems.
  • Quickly assess and audit processes.
  • Communicate inventory status accurately and in a timely manner.

Reporting and Data Analysis:

  • Accurately input data into Excel and various database applications.
  • Track and evaluate defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to align with organizational and client objectives for reporting and consulting purposes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, decision-making, and attention to detail.
  • Proven capability in quantitative reasoning, problem-solving, and data analysis.
  • Experience in team environments and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
