Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our team at BJ's Wholesale Club. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible for executing departmental inventory counts, processing, and sorting damaged or defective merchandise, reducing salvage, and obtaining return authorizations from vendors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute departmental inventory counts, processing, and sorting damaged or defective merchandise
  • Reduce salvage and obtain return authorizations from vendors
  • Work cross-functionally within departments to complete related inventory control responsibilities
  • Conduct daily club safety walks and ensure a safe and positive environment for members and team members
  • Understand and administer company community donation programs and manage salvage and donation merchandise orders
  • Review daily return reports, process merchandise recalls, and process tire and battery returns
  • Re-wrap sellable merchandise using proper seal and shrink-wrap packaging guidelines
  • Maintain all club policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Must successfully complete required training and certification processes
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and computer skills
  • Basic math skills required
  • At least 18 years of age
Work Environment
  • Most of the time is spent moving about on hard surfaces
  • Frequently requires bending, climbing, crawling, pulling, reaching, stooping, and climbing ladders/step stools
  • Frequently requires lifting objects up to 30 pounds
  • May require lifting and moving heavy and/or awkward objects more than 30 pounds with assistance
  • Requires using a pallet jack to pull and push pallets
Compensation

The pay range for this position is starting from $15.00. At BJ's Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications.
