Position Summary

We are looking for a Business Development Manager - Technology who possesses a comprehensive strategic outlook and a proven track record in cultivating qualified opportunity pipelines by fostering relationships and marketing research-driven solutions within Federal Health organizations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and assess opportunities that align strategically with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Develop and enhance winning strategies along with corresponding action plans for targeted pursuits.
  • Establish relationships with potential clients across HHS and pinpoint areas to promote Axle's solutions and capabilities.
  • Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs), sources sought, and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Identify partnership requirements and nurture partner relationships in collaboration with growth leadership, focusing on opportunity identification, qualification, shaping, selling, and securing new business.
  • Conduct market analysis and provide strategic recommendations to advance our business.
  • Collaborate with the proposal manager and writers to integrate winning themes and strategies into proposal responses, participating in solution development, writing, and reviews.
  • Drive business towards existing Government-Wide Acquisition Contracts (GWACs) and Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contracts (IDIQs).
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline.
  • 5-8 years of pertinent professional experience in Federal contracting.
  • Extensive connections within HHS government stakeholders and firms engaged in business with them.
  • Ability to influence and engage with government leadership.
  • In-depth understanding of HHS and relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with strong communication, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.
  • Knowledge of various contracting vehicles and their respective advantages.
  • Capability to comprehend technical information and convey it to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Identify and participate in key industry events and conferences.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Essential personal attributes for success in this role include self-reliance, initiative, team-building capabilities, excellent interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
