FUNCTIONAL SUMMARY

Core Responsibility: The Sales Support Specialist plays a vital role in identifying potential clients for follow-up by external sales representatives. This position serves as a liaison between the company and its customers, managing inquiries and processing orders for various products and services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Generate a list of potential clients using available resources and company databases.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing calls from customers to facilitate orders for products and services. Clearly articulate the benefits of different offerings to encourage purchases.
  • Provide pricing information, delivery timelines, and payment options while persuading clients to make purchases based on in-depth knowledge of company offerings.
  • Record customer details, orders, and feedback in the company database.
  • Complete order documentation, ensuring accuracy in delivery schedules and credit approvals.
  • Source requested items from appropriate vendors.
  • At the end of each work period, compile and submit a summary report of activities as per company guidelines.
  • May need to communicate with customers regarding shipment delays or material shortages, providing necessary explanations.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

  • High school diploma; some college education is preferred.
  • Possess a friendly and persuasive telephone demeanor.
  • Strong command of English; proficiency in Spanish is an advantage.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

A minimum of one to two years of experience in inside sales, telemarketing, or procurement is required.
