Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our team at GBS Corp. As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building relationships with key decision-makers, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting and Business Development: Conduct research on targeted territories to develop a prospect list using available databases, online research, and marketing support.
  • Account Management: Work with marketing programs to develop timely follow-up campaigns to advance opportunities through the sales process.
  • Opportunity and Account Tracking: Maintain opportunity and account tracking and reporting in Netsuite.
  • Sales Planning: Develop sales plans for assigned territories.
  • Solution-Based Sales Approach: Leverage a value-added solution-based sales approach to position all GBS products and services within assigned accounts.
  • Market Understanding: Develop a thorough understanding and the relevance of GBS products and services to the market.
  • Time and Resource Management: Manage time and resources effectively to meet sales objectives.
  • Closing New Business Opportunities: Close new business opportunities to meet sales revenue objectives.
  • Team Sales Concept: Leverage sales opportunities through effective use of team sales concept.
  • Performance Requirements: Performance requirements as outlined by Sales Management.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Business Acumen: Understand business processes.
  • Communication Skills: Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Technical Skills: Experienced in utilizing the PC and the Internet for presentation, business software, project management, and all forms of communication.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Administrative Project Management Skills: Strong administrative project management skills.

Education and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business or Marketing preferred.
  • Experience: Prefer two years of sales experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged Sitting and Computer Use: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Lifting: Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
