Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Principal Engineer to enhance our capabilities in delivering exceptional client service and innovative technical solutions in the field of water management. Role Summary

The ideal candidate will possess a wealth of experience in the design and construction of water and wastewater facilities, particularly within the Central Ohio region. This role will involve overseeing projects, providing mentorship to junior engineers, and maintaining close communication with clients regarding project progress and deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the execution of projects related to municipal water and wastewater infrastructure.
  • Prepare comprehensive assessment and design reports, including performing design calculations and equipment selection.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality construction documents and support construction management activities.
  • Conduct fieldwork and site visits throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Foster collaboration and teamwork among project teams across Ohio and the Midwest.

Qualifications

Required:

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in facility and infrastructure design.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Ohio or the ability to obtain reciprocity.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proven experience in delivering water and/or wastewater facility projects from initial design through to construction.
  • Strong work ethic and effective work methods.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Active engagement with professional organizations.
  • Proficiency in standard software platforms.
  • Strong organizational capabilities.

Preferred:

  • Experience in project management within the Central Ohio market for water/wastewater facilities.
  • Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple project teams to deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within budget.
  • Experience in mentoring and supervising staff.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with clients.
  • Experience in proposal preparation and participation in client interviews.
