Role Summary:

The Operations Communications Specialist will play a crucial role in implementing the internal communications strategy crafted by the Operations Integration team. This position involves collaborating across departments to ensure that operational messaging is clear and consistent throughout all internal communication platforms, contributing significantly to the success of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and tailor messages and materials for internal stakeholders, collaborating closely with various Support Center Teams, including FSQA, Tech, Supply Chain, Marketing, Customer Experience, Development, and People + Culture.
  • Assist the Ops Integration Team in executing both planned and spontaneous communications to Operations.
  • Coordinate with other Support Center Teams to convey essential messages and evaluate the effectiveness of communications through key performance indicators.
  • Partner with Learning and Development to facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions for seasonal recipe launches and other initiatives.
  • Continuously enhance restaurant resources such as posters, recipe cards, and job aids in collaboration with Learning and Development.
  • Establish and maintain a feedback mechanism for operational communications.
  • Collaborate with the communications team on executive-level writing and messaging.
  • Promote CAVA's mission, values, and competencies through the in-restaurant experience.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures that support a service-oriented mindset.
  • Manage expectations regarding timelines across teams and fulfill responsibilities accordingly.
  • Build trust with Team Members and Managers by consistently embodying CAVA's values.
  • Demonstrate discipline in maintaining consistent performance, communication, and attitude in daily tasks.
  • Actively engage in departmental contributions to achieve company objectives.
  • Acknowledge the emotional investment each Team Member has in both personal and organizational success.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a related field.
  • Proven track record in creating clear, compelling, and on-brand messaging and materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and manage effective communication initiatives.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication skills, showcasing clarity of thought and the ability to influence with an appropriate tone.
  • History of collaboration and maintaining positive relationships with multiple internal partners.
  • Passionate, dedicated, and eager to learn, with a foundation of kindness, honesty, and integrity.
  • Highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented, capable of balancing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with various desktop publishing and design software (Adobe InDesign, Publisher, WordPress, Canva, PowerPoint, Illustrator, etc.).
  • Innovative in finding new and creative ways to communicate effectively.
  • Data-driven, with a focus on measuring results and developing ROI for each project.
  • Strong time management skills and organizational abilities.
  • A passion for food, people, and storytelling.
  • Preferred: Proficiency in Spanish, a bachelor's degree in communications, English, PR, journalism, marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience with project management software such as Monday.com.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to maintain a stationary position to operate a computer and other office equipment.
  • Must be able to identify, analyze, and assess details.
  • Occasional ability to move or transport items weighing up to 50 pounds may be required for certain positions.
  • Effective communication skills to exchange information accurately.
  • Ability to navigate and support ordinary restaurant or food production operations as applicable.
  • Capacity to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
