Vision Technologies is in search of a Senior Microsoft Systems Engineer to enhance our team. This full-time position will focus on optimizing and securing our IT infrastructure while collaborating with the IT Director to develop a strategic plan for future cloud migrations.

We are seeking a seasoned professional who can introduce cutting-edge technologies into our operations, ensuring the security and modernization of our network hardware and cloud-hosted applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the network infrastructure, encompassing hardware, software, and cloud solutions.
  • Implement Office/Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Establish Azure Active Directory environments.
  • Deploy advanced Microsoft 365 services, including Enterprise and Mobility.
  • Design Office/Microsoft 365 service architectures.
  • Manage on-premise and Azure Active Directory environments, including Group Policies.
  • Facilitate infrastructure enhancements in client environments.
  • Administer SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams environments.
  • Enhance backup strategies utilizing VEEAM.
  • Configure and maintain firewall policies.
  • Manage internal SAN and NAS environments.
  • Oversee network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and access points.
  • Assist in the maintenance and deployment of various client applications and environments.
  • Lead initiatives for researching and implementing new applications.
  • Direct IT projects for clients.
  • Coordinate with IT staff and operations.
  • Provide mentorship and leadership as a senior team member.
  • Support the management of support services and related deliverables.
  • Collaborate with end-users and vendors to support applications and environments.
  • Engage with client stakeholders on strategic vision.
  • Participate in regular client meetings and engage with executive management.
  • Support client initiatives both remotely and on-site.
  • Conduct routine network maintenance across various Microsoft environments.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years in IT support roles.
  • At least 1 year of advanced experience with Microsoft 365.
  • Proven experience in support management positions.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Active Directory.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, Defender, Microsoft 365, Entra, and Intune.
  • Microsoft cloud certifications are advantageous.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, critical support environment.
  • Strong reputation for providing excellent support to end-users and leading teams.
  • Exceptional decision-making and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Outstanding organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to meet project deadlines and manage assignments effectively.
  • Willingness to learn and support new technologies while training others.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.

Education / Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Certifications may be considered in lieu of a college degree.
