Position Overview

We are in search of a dedicated and proficient Cloud Architecture Specialist. This role is pivotal in maintaining our reputation for excellence and innovation in technology. You will spearhead the design, conceptualization, and execution of advanced software development and cloud architectures that meet our clients' business needs while anticipating future growth and changes.

As the key player in our cloud strategies and software modernization efforts, you will bridge the gap between business units and technical teams, ensuring that the solutions are in line with our clients' objectives and integrate smoothly with existing systems and technologies. Your involvement will span all phases of the project lifecycle, from initial brainstorming and stakeholder discussions to final deployment and subsequent evaluations.

This is a fully remote, full-time opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Architecture Development:
    1. Create detailed solution architectures that align with business goals and technological advancements.
    2. Work alongside project teams to develop tailored solutions that address unique business challenges.
    3. Assist in establishing and maintaining cloud infrastructure utilizing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
    4. Contribute to the development and deployment of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  2. Stakeholder Collaboration:
    1. Serve as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of solutions.
    2. Conduct workshops and meetings to gather requirements and feedback from key stakeholders.
  3. Technology Assessment and Integration:
    1. Review existing systems and recommend enhancements or integrations to improve functionality and efficiency.
    2. Evaluate potential technology partners and vendors to support solution development and implementation.
  4. Documentation and Knowledge Transfer:
    1. Create comprehensive documentation, including architectural diagrams and technical specifications, to guide solution implementation.
    2. Facilitate knowledge transfer through training sessions and workshops to ensure smooth adoption of new solutions.
  5. Compliance and Governance:
    1. Ensure that solutions comply with industry standards and organizational policies, including data privacy and security regulations.
    2. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure solutions meet regulatory requirements.
  6. Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
    1. Monitor the performance of implemented solutions and make necessary adjustments to optimize outcomes.
    2. Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise post-implementation.
  7. Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
    1. Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities for innovation and enhancement.
    2. Promote the adoption of best practices in solution architecture and design.
Qualifications:
  1. Educational Background:
    1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
    2. A Master's degree or professional certifications in relevant areas are preferred.
  2. Certification Requirements:
    1. Certification in at least one cloud platform such as AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate), Microsoft Azure (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate), or Google Cloud (e.g., Associate Cloud Engineer).
    2. Additional certifications in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (e.g., Docker Certified Associate, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are highly desirable.
  3. Experience:
    1. 3-7 years of experience in IT or software development, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a solutions architect capacity.
    2. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and integration technologies (e.g., APIs, middleware).
  4. Skills:
    1. Strong technical expertise with an understanding of various programming languages, databases, and software development methodologies.
    2. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering practical and innovative solutions.
    3. Proficiency in using architectural modeling tools (e.g., ArchiMate, UML).
    4. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

    1. Strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
    2. Forward-thinking with a keen eye for identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.

  1. A willingness to continuously learn and adapt to the evolving technology landscape.
  2. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects concurrently.

All work must be conducted within the U.S., excluding U.S. territories. Some federal contracts require U.S. citizenship to be eligible for employment.

As the US Government is our clientele, you may be required to obtain a public trust or security clearance.
