Position Overview
The Human Research Protection Analyst II plays a crucial role in facilitating the effective management of the human research protection program. This position provides expert support and direction to researchers and various stakeholders while enhancing the efficiency of Institutional Review Board (IRB) processes.

Through these responsibilities, the Human Research Protection Analyst II contributes to ensuring that research involving human subjects adheres to institutional standard operating procedures (SOPs) as well as international, federal, state, and local regulations. The role is pivotal in upholding the ethical standards concerning the treatment of human subjects in research, thereby safeguarding the rights, safety, and welfare of participants.

Team Contribution
The Human Research Protection Analyst II is an integral member of a regulatory team dedicated to assessing and supporting the functions of the Institutional Review Board. This position involves conducting thorough and independent evaluations of research submissions, applying established criteria for IRB approval.

Operational Support
The Analyst also assists in managing the daily operations of the IRB office as required, ensuring smooth workflow and compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Health Science or a related field (Preferred)
Master's Degree (Preferred)
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in human research regulations and/or human subject protections (Required)
Certifications:
CIM - Certified IRB Manager (Preferred)
CIP - Certified IRB Professional (Preferred)
