  • Competitive Salary: $25.00 to $26.00 per hour

  • Full-time position: 40 hours per week

Role Overview:

The Facilities Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for executing work orders, conducting repairs in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliance systems, as well as managing exterior upkeep. This role is essential in maintaining the property’s aesthetic appeal, including grounds, amenities, building exteriors, and community facilities. The ideal candidate will be adept at multitasking while providing exceptional customer service. Flexibility is key, as no two days are the same, and responding to after-hours emergencies is a requirement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in areas such as HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, flooring, and painting.
  • Uphold customer service standards by addressing resident inquiries and collaborating with them to resolve issues effectively.
  • Complete service requests and repairs in accordance with company standards, ensuring safety and timeliness.
  • Conduct turn-key operations to prepare vacant units for new tenants promptly.
  • Utilize new equipment properly and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Perform regular inspections and maintenance of grounds, ensuring cleanliness and upkeep of common areas.
  • Manage waste disposal and maintain sanitary conditions in shared facilities.
  • Undertake additional tasks as assigned.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant maintenance experience or one year of handyman or apprenticeship experience in related fields.
  • Experience in on-call and weekend service.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience in electrical and appliance repairs.
  • Familiarity with janitorial or porter duties.
  • Capability to operate heavy machinery and equipment.
  • Knowledge of cleaning agents and safety protocols.
  • Must possess reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with current auto insurance.
  • Successful candidates will undergo a background check and drug screening. (A prior conviction does not automatically disqualify you from employment with WSH Management, Inc.)
