Compensation Range: $18.00 Hour

*Range(s) - DOE

ROLE SUMMARY

The janitor is tasked with ensuring the cleanliness of facilities, removing waste, and maintaining organized spaces. Responsibilities include vacuuming, buffing floors, shampooing carpets, emptying trash bins, and replacing liners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain cleanliness in designated areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning vents, restroom sanitation, etc.)
  • Conduct routine inspections and document maintenance activities
  • Execute heavy cleaning tasks and special projects as needed
  • Report deficiencies or repair needs to management
  • Perform minor repairs and adjustments
  • Manage and restock supply rooms
  • Collaborate effectively with other staff members
  • Adhere to safety and sanitation standards
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
  • Ability to follow safety and security protocols
  • Strong reading and writing skills; effective oral communication
  • Physical capability to perform janitorial tasks and operate relevant equipment
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work independently or as part of a team
  • Professional demeanor and reliability
