Job Summary

As a Patient Access Representative II - Scheduling, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare system. Your primary responsibility will be to schedule patient appointments, verify medical necessity, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scheduling Patient Appointments
    • Coordinate with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to schedule appointments in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Medical Necessity Verification
    • Verify patient eligibility and medical necessity for scheduled appointments.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Requirements
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as HIPAA and OSHA.
  • Communication and Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, physicians, and other stakeholders.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient appointments, medical necessity, and compliance.
Requirements
  • Education
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience
    • Two years of experience in a hospital or customer service setting preferred.
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Proficient typing and keyboarding skills.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:45am to 5:15pm. Call may be required about every 5th weekend, and some holidays may be required.
