About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Healthcare Coordinator to join our team at PDS Health. As a key member of our dental office, you will play a vital role in ensuring a seamless patient experience from initial consultation to treatment completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Partnership: Collaborate with supported dentists to secure financial commitments from patients, ensuring timely and effective treatment.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients on treatment options, addressing common objections and concerns to achieve optimal case acceptance.
  • Schedule Management: Proactively maintain dentists' schedules, ensuring productivity and efficiency.
  • Operational Excellence: Model company culture, values, and best practices, adhering to the We Believe Behavioral Framework.
  • System Proficiency: Achieve expertise in PDS system and tools, utilizing data-driven insights to inform patient decisions.
  • HC Handoff: Execute the Healthcare Coordinator Handoff in partnership with clinicians, ensuring seamless patient transitions.
  • Financial Acumen: Develop and maintain subject matter expertise on available financial options, empowering patients to make informed decisions.
  • Objection Handling: Professionally overcome common patient objections, ensuring timely treatment initiation.
  • Insurance Pre-Authorizations: Obtain necessary pre-authorizations for patients requiring insurance coverage.
  • Comprehensive Care: Ensure the office exemplifies the Comprehensive Care Model, promoting holistic patient care.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in daily morning huddles, monthly team meetings, and other required meetings, fostering a culture of collaboration and open communication.
  • Business Acumen: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of business imperatives and their impact on metrics and results.
  • Brand Stewardship: Make decisions consistent with the PDS Brand framework, upholding the company's values and reputation.
  • Clinical Excellence: Develop knowledge on the Mouth Body Connection, supporting comprehensive patient care and clinical excellence.
  • Professional Conduct: Maintain an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor, addressing others professionally and respectfully at all times.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, as well as state, federal, and other regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Travel: May require travel between offices.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Prior coursework or on-the-job training in dentistry, insurance, or business.
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Office practices, technology applications, patient insurances, results-oriented, patient advocate, process-focused operator, financial acumen, influencer, self-motivated, reliable, ability to multitask, excellent communication skills, confidentiality, and organizational skills.
