Role Overview:

The Healthcare Services Coordinator plays a crucial role in welcoming and registering patients in a friendly and efficient manner. This position involves guiding, directing, and scheduling patients and visitors to ensure a smooth experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Welcoming patients upon arrival and managing their wait times effectively.
  • Completing check-in and check-out procedures, including insurance verification and pre-authorizations.
  • Collecting co-payments and issuing receipts while managing the cashier box and daily deposits.
  • Processing walk-in patients and handling inquiries via phone.
  • Maintaining and organizing medical records, ensuring all correspondence is appropriately filed.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with patients, staff, and the public.
  • Performing additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A High School Diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service or a healthcare-related field.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • The ability to travel occasionally for coverage at other locations.

Preferred Skills:

Ideal candidates may also have:

  • Experience with electronic health records.
  • Healthcare scheduling experience.
  • Experience managing multi-line phone systems.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Strong cash handling skills.
