Responsibilities:


The Healthcare Office Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for patient inquiries, facilitating communication between patients, healthcare providers, and other staff members. This role involves delivering outstanding customer service and efficiently managing phone calls and messages.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collecting and updating patient demographics and insurance details.
  • Verifying health plan eligibility.
  • Taking accurate messages and scheduling appointments using an electronic management system.
  • Performing various clerical tasks to support daily operational goals and quality care initiatives.

Flexibility to work at different locations may be required as part of the role. This position may involve handling sensitive financial information and utilizing transaction systems responsibly.


Qualifications:


Preferred qualifications include six months of experience in a healthcare setting as a Healthcare Office Coordinator or a similar role in a high-volume customer service environment. Alternatively, six months of experience as a Phone Receptionist or Health Information Associate within CommonSpirit Health is acceptable.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Essential skills include excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service abilities. Proficiency in keyboarding and familiarity with computer systems and standard office equipment are necessary. A solid understanding of medical terminology is also important.
