Patient Service Representative

VSP Vision is seeking a highly skilled Patient Contact Center Representative to join our team. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our patients, answering calls, and scheduling appointments.
Key Responsibilities- Manage large volumes of inbound calls in a timely and efficient manner
- Follow company call guidelines to ensure excellent customer service
- De-escalate situations involving dissatisfied patients and provide support and assistance
- Verify patient insurance and benefits while on the phone
- Schedule, reschedule, cancel, and confirm patient appointments
- Notify the Patient Contact Center Supervisor of any issues or technical problems
- 1-2 years of administrative experience with a focus on customer service
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Working knowledge of MS Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Interpersonal and rapport-building skills
- Ability to ask relevant questions to identify customer needs
- Proven problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
