About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Avenue5 Residential. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day maintenance operations and physical upkeep of our properties are carried out to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform various maintenance functions, including repairs to electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with Avenue5 policies and standards, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Manage work orders, verifying all orders are completed in a timely manner to company standards and resident satisfaction.
  • Conduct daily inspections of property grounds, buildings, and common area amenities to maintain safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Assist with management of property emergencies, such as snow and inclement weather emergencies, fires, and floods.
  • Promptly communicate with maintenance supervisor and property manager concerning all maintenance issues.
  • Observe and promote safety and risk management in accordance with local, federal, state, and company rules and regulations.
  • Participate in on-call rotation as necessary.
  • Promote customer satisfaction by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and curb appeal.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum two years of experience in the property management industry or directly related field.
  • General maintenance and carpentry skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and perform basic mathematical functions.
  • Ability to cope with and defuse situations involving angry or difficult people.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must maintain professional appearance and comply with prescribed uniform policy.
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance.
