About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to join our team at the Office of Disability Services. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of disability services at James Madison University.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a leader in the development and implementation of disability services, including technology and exam accommodation services.
  • Provide direct student services, including individualized assessments, registration for services, and on-going disability-related support.
  • Collaborate with campus partners to ensure seamless delivery of services and support.
  • Supervise program area leaders and provide consultation and leadership to ODS staff.
  • Participate in Student Affairs initiatives and contribute to divisional priorities.
Requirements
  • Considerable experience with disability services or a similar field.
  • Experience leading teams or projects critical to an important function of the work or services provided.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders across an enterprise.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students and those needing support, accommodations, and field-related education and assistance.
  • A record of advocacy and a wealth of knowledge of the field of disability services.
