Position Overview:

The Retail Operations Supervisor plays a vital role in supporting the store's daily activities, enhancing customer interactions, overseeing store operations, managing talent, and upholding merchandising standards. As a key member of the store leadership team, the Supervisor is responsible for guiding store personnel and ensuring exceptional customer engagement and sales performance. This role operates under the direction of the Store Manager, following established protocols to fulfill job responsibilities. The Supervisor contributes to a positive workplace culture that prioritizes both customer and employee satisfaction while optimizing productivity and profitability. Additionally, they provide constructive feedback and coaching to team members regarding their daily performance. This position may also entail some opening and closing responsibilities based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Team Leadership:

  • Assist in driving store sales and achieving sales targets.
  • Monitor sales performance against key metrics.
  • Foster a productive environment by enhancing customer engagement on the sales floor and offering coaching to team members.
  • Support the management of labor and payroll expenses to maximize sales and efficiency under the guidance of the Store Manager/Assistant Store Manager.

Customer Experience:

  • Ensure outstanding customer service by exemplifying brand-specific service standards and addressing customer feedback promptly.
  • Encourage the store team to engage with each customer, creating a genuine brand experience.
  • Inspire a customer-focused culture through direct feedback and supervision of associates in delivering an exceptional in-store experience.

Team Development:

  • Provide coaching to the store team in key areas of customer engagement and sales performance.
  • Ensure team members receive timely feedback and guidance to facilitate their success.

Operational Excellence:

  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, reporting any concerns to the Store Manager.
  • Delegate tasks to associates as necessary to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Respond promptly to any customer or associate injuries, collaborating with the Store Manager and Human Resources.

Visual Merchandising:

  • Maintain visual merchandising standards throughout the store.

Human Resource Management:

  • Communicate any associate concerns directly to the Store Manager.
  • Support the Open-Door Policy.

Store Culture:

  • Model behaviors that respect the diverse backgrounds and experiences of others, upholding the values of Kontoor Brands.
  • Encourage an environment that promotes participation, creativity, and learning by sharing best practices and building on others' ideas.

Job Requirements:

  • Preferred minimum of two years of retail sales experience.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Strong communication and time-management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and focus on customer satisfaction in a dynamic environment.
  • Results-driven problem solver with an analytical approach.
  • Proficient computer skills are preferred.
  • Open availability for a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Essential Functions:

  • Operate office equipment and technology (e.g., cash register, computers, phones, scanners).
  • Ability to stand for scheduled shifts of up to 8 hours.
  • Assist customers, retrieve merchandise, and maintain store organization.
  • Regularly lift and carry up to 25 lbs, and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
  • Push/pull full racks of merchandise for restocking.
  • Reach, stretch, bend, stoop, and crouch to retrieve items and maintain store cleanliness.
  • Occasionally perform manual labor to assemble displays or rearrange store layout.
  • Ability to read labels and assist customers with attention to detail.
  • Utilize fine motor skills to sort and organize clothing.
