Medical Office Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:
Answer and direct calls, and forward messages as needed
Provide excellent patient/customer service to ensure patient satisfaction
Assist patients with registration, including forms completion
Enter patient charges into the practice management system
Schedule patients for internal and outside referral appointments as appropriate
Verify patient insurance eligibility
Perform reconciliation, closing, and end of day procedures
Requirements:
High School Diploma / GED
Knowledge of customer service principles and techniques
General office support practices and related office equipment
Computer skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and interact with diverse groups
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of medical office practices and procedures
Electronic health records and practice management systems
MS Office products
General clerical support in an office environment
Licenses and Certifications:
Current, active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) course completion card
